You can customize the layout and order of items on all of the jobs in your site to suit the needs of your organization.
In this article, you'll learn how to:
1 Select fields to display
Click Jobs in the main menu to open the main Jobs page. Point to the 3-dot icon on the top right of the page and choose Job Layout. Then click the gear icon to open a list of fields you can choose to display on your jobs. The options include a Job Summary, SOC Codes, and NOC Codes.
The job summary appears below the job title on the job and it's edited in a WYSIWYG editor. The SOC and NOC code fields appear on the More Details overlay. All three fields will also be included in the exported version of the job.
Deselecting a field doesn't mean you lose information that's already been added. Selecting one of these fields again on this page displays all of the information you'd entered previously on the job.
2 Order the library types
You can reorder the items within a group on the job itself, but the order of library types is set on this page. Click and drag the library types to reorder them. Here's the order we recommend:
- Knowledge Areas
- Working Conditions
- Additional Information
- Custom Forms
3 Select a competency view mode
The items you add from libraries to a job are sorted by group and the group name is used as a heading. But for competencies, there's a couple more options we offer for how they're organized and displayed.
- Group View: like we explained above, this is the view used by all of the other types of libraries where the item is listed in its group and the group name is used as a heading. We used to call this "Library View" because competencies were stored in different libraries. But now that we have so many new types of libraries, we recommend moving all of your competencies into one library and using groups to organize them. That's why we've replaced Library View with Group View.
- Architecture View: when you add competencies to a job, you can select whether those competencies are core, job family, or job specific. Architecture View groups groups the competencies by these three categories instead of by library group. Competencies that aren't specified as one of these three types are listed under a generic "Competencies" heading.
- Flat View: this view has no headings or grouping. The competencies are listed in a flat list in the order they were added to the job, but you can reorder them within this list.
Click the Display Mode drop-down in the Competencies row and select a different view.
