Step 1. Go to canvas
Click Item Bank or Assessment in the sidebar. Select a folder in the index to open it and click the plus icon on the top right of the page or click the name of an existing item/assessment name to edit it. The toolbar and canvas opens on a new page.
Step 2. Drag component
Click and drag the Yes/No icon from the toolbar onto the canvas. If you're on the Assessment canvas, click the Components tab in the toolbar first to access the Yes/No icon.
Step 3. Add title
This step is optional. Click the title text to open an overlay. Enter the title of the question and set the style for the text (see the How do I add text in Touchstone to learn more). Then click Save.
Step 4. Set properties
Click the yes/no component on the canvas and then click the pencil icon that appears beside it to open an overlay. Select Yes or No in the Show Title drop-down. If you select No, the title disappears from the canvas. Select one of three styles for your question: Yes/No, True/False, or On/Off. Yes/No and True/False are displayed as two radio buttons. On/Off is displayed as a switch that can be turned on or off.
Step 5. Enter correct answer
Enter the correct answer to your question and then click Save to close the overlay.
Step 6. Resize and position
Click the Save button to close the overlay. Click and drag the corner of the component to resize the width. Click and drag the component to re position it on the canvas.
Step 7. Preview and save
Click the Preview button to see how it will appear when a user is taking your assessment and then click Save once you're happy with your Yes/No component.
