Welcome! If you're using Association Job Board for the first time, this is a great place to get started. Before diving into the how-to articles, we'll give you a quick overview.
In this article, you'll learn more about:
1 What is the Association Job Board?
Association Job Board looks and works like CareerAim.com, our job board for Canadian job seekers and employers. But this is a job board for your association. Employers who belong to the association can post jobs directly on the job board. In addition to the jobs posted by employers, jobs from CareerAim.com appear but are filtered by category. For example, an Accounting association would select the Accounting & Finance category so that only jobs posted in that category display. With Association Job Board, you can:
- Customize the logo and colour of your job board.
- Filter the jobs pulled from CareerAim.com by category and by province.
- Approve or reject the employers who apply to be able to post jobs.
- Customize the prices of sponsored job posts that employers can purchase.
2 How it works
Anyone can create an account on your job board. While registering, they can select to request an employer account. As the administrator, you can approve or reject their request. You can also disable an employer you previously approved so they're no longer able to post jobs.
The same features available for job seekers and employers on CareerAim.com are also available on Association Job Board. Anyone can set up job alerts. Logged in job seekers can build a resume, save searches, manage their job alerts, and keep track of the jobs they've applied for. Employers can post jobs and pay to sponsor a job post. They receive applications for those jobs, and are able to rate the applicants.
