Use the WYSIWYG editor to apply formatting like bold or italics. To apply a format, highlight a word or phrase and click one of the options in the toolbar. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Use the paste tool to remove hidden formatting if you're copying text from another source like a Word document. Paste your text in the text box that appears and click OK.
- Limit formatting to one style per word. Some combined styles might work, but others won't display properly. Using just one per word ensures your document displays as expected.
- Don't add more than one ordered list if you're printing a Word document. Otherwise, the numbering of the second list will begin where the first one left off.
- Remember that not all formatting styles are supported in print. If you resize, align, or specify the horizontal and vertical space of an image, it's respected on screen, but not in print. Links to an email or an anchor will also not be respected in print.
