|You can manage who can see what in Touchstone. You can organize users so that some can only view Touchstone to perform assessments, while others can create and make changes to content. In this article, you'll learn how to:
Click the gear icon on the top right corner of your screen. Click Settings in the sidebar. Select the category under Touchstone Settings. There are two settings you can change.
Click the gear icon on the top right corner of your screen. Click Security Profiles in the sidebar. A page opens listing the security profiles on your site. You might have an Administrator's security profile and a Regular users security profile listed on this page. Users are added to security profiles, and the security profile a user belongs to determines what they have permission to access on your site.
Click the shield icon for a security profile. The list of permissions opens on a new page. Select the Touchstone category in the Permissions menu. You'll see four permissions that can be selected.
|Gives permission to access Touchstone, so make sure that all of your security profiles have this permission turned on. You can also view Touchstone reports if this is turned on.|
Manage Item Bank
|Gives permission to access the Item Bank in the sidebar and to create, edit, or delete items in the Item Bank. You can still access the Item Bank from the Assessment Canvas even if you don't have this permission turned on.|
|Gives permission to access Assessments in the sidebar and to create, edit, and delete assessments.|
|Gives permission to perform assessments and to access the My Assessments page.|
You might want to select all four permissions for the Administrators security profile and only View Touchstone and Take Assessments for the Regular Users security profile. Click Save once you've selected or deselected permissions on a security profile.
|To select permissions for a different profile, you don't have to return to the main Security Profiles page. Instead, scroll to the top of the Permissions page and click the Change Security Profile button. Select another profile in the drop-down and choose its permissions for Touchstone.|
|Now that your security profiles are set up, you can assign users to them. If you're still on the Permissions page, click the Membership button on the right side of the page OR click the name of a security profile on the main Security Profiles page to open an overlay panel.|
Click the Users tab and start typing in the name of a user you want to add in the first field. Unless the account of the user you're searching for is disabled, their name should appear in the drop-down. Click their name, and they're added to the list of users assigned to that security profile. Repeat these steps for all of the users in your site.
