Welcome! If you're using Testing for the first time, this is a great place to get started. Before diving into the how-to articles, we'll give you a quick overview.
What is Testing?
It's a tool to evaluate a person's ability to perform a job. With Testing, you can:
- Create and store reusable test items.
- Build a test using these items.
- Decide how you want test questions to be scored.
- Dispatch a test to a group of users.
- View and share test data in reports.
How it works
The first step is to create items and save them in the Item Bank. These items might be pieces that support a question, like text or video explaining a scenario. Other items might be questions based on that scenario. You can link a question item to a competency or knowledge area to specify what it's evaluating.
Tests are easy to build because you're drawing from a central bank of items rather than creating questions from scratch. Drag and drop items onto the Test Canvas. Customize how the test sections and pages are organized, set time limits, and decide how questions will be scored.
Send off a test to a group of users in Dispatches and keep track of tests using reports. There are different types of reports so you can see details by dispatch or by subject (the user taking the test). Users will get to see their own report called "My Tests" and results can be downloaded to PDF for easy display and sharing.
