Before you begin
There are two types of plans in CompetencyCore: Development and Performance. Plans are made up of goals that are often related to competencies so that employees can improve their performance. You can easily create a development or performance plan from a completed assessment. The plan bases the goals on the gaps between the targets and the ratings of the assessment.
Creating a plan from an assessment
Click the menu icon on the top left corner of your screen. Click Assessments in the main menu. Expand Assessments where I am the subject or Assessments where I am a manager. Point to a completed assessment gear icon and choose Create Development Plan or Create Performance Plan.
A new window opens where you can enter the plan title, select a plan type, and select a cycle. When you're finished, click Next. (The subject of the assessment is the subject of the plan).
Now you can add assessment based goals. For each goal, select a goal group and a goal type. Click Next.
Set the permissions for each participant group in the plan and click Confirm.
Now you can view your plan. If you want to add goals that aren't based on the assessment results, scroll to the Goals table, point to the gear icon , and choose Add Job Competencies as Goals or Create Goal to create a goal from scratch. You can associate a goal you create to a competency if the goal is based on a goal type that has the Attach Library Items property selected.
